has been changed to Monday, August 29th following the Carthage Middle School Open House at approximately 7:00 pm. Meetings are at the Middle School Cafeteria.

CESD Sports Boosters
May 1, 2013
The Carthage Elementary School District (CESD) Sports Boosters meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m., May 1, 2013, in the Carthage Middle School Cafeteria by Eva Groth, Vice-President.
Members in attendance:
Krista Artman, Tom White, Eva Groth, Becky Gooding, Karen Garnett, Kim Dietrich and Barb Heighton
Approval of Minutes:
Becky motioned and Kim seconded that the minutes of the March 27 meeting be approved; motion carried.
Kim reported we made a $720.28 profit from the track t-shirt order. Thank you to Cynthia Smith who donated the $296 in entry fees from the volleyball league she organized. Kim also deposited $15.25 from concessions sales from the CMS officer refrigerator.
We sold 107 of the 200 tickets for the iPad Mini Raffle and made a $746 profit. The winner, Stephanie Bryan, was drawn at the 5/6 County Track Meet April 24. Thank you to Tom White for printing the tickets, and thank you to Trish Markley, Dana Hendricks and Lauren White for selling tickets at the Vendor Blender.
Expenses paid this month were the County Market charge account, the Graphic Edge track t-shirt invoice, and the Secretary of State annual report filing fee. The checking account balance is $14,209.50. Karen motioned to approve the report; Becky seconded; motion carried.
Pitching machine for baseball team – Dave Peacock will purchase a machine before practice begins in August.
Christine Murphy was not present to discuss her funding request to help purchase new 7th/8th grade girls basketball uniforms, so this agenda item was tabled.
The next meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wed., June 5.
